Organisational membership with the Tasmanian Family and Sexual Violence Alliance connects your service, team, or agency to a statewide peak body working across prevention, early intervention, response, and recovery.
We bring lived experience, specialist practice, and evidence together to strengthen systems and drive reform. We have two levels of organisational membership:
Full Membership:
For specialist not-for-profit organisations delivering services specific to family and/or sexual violence in Tasmania — across prevention, early intervention, response, healing, and recovery.
- Help lead the Alliance’s direction through board nomination and election rights.
- Vote at AGMs and special meetings.
- Shape statewide policy and advocacy priorities via representation on the Policy & Advocacy Committee.
- Take a leadership role in sector reform and collective submissions to government.
- Access member benefits including professional development, research collaboration, networking, and the member portal.
Associate Membership:
For government or non-government organisations with an interest in TFSVA’s work and in ending family and sexual violence in Tasmania.
- Participate in statewide meetings and events.
- Join working groups and consultations on specific issues.
- Contribute to system and service improvement.
- Access learning, sector updates, networking, and the member portal.
What’s the difference?
Full Members are not-for-profit organisations with voting rights, meaning they help lead TFSVA’s policy and advocacy direction and support our independence as a community peak body; they must also align with TFSVA Practice Standards. Associate Members can be any government or non-government organisation that shares our goals, and while they don’t have voting roles, they can fully participate in activities such as meetings, networking, and system-improvement opportunities.
