As Tasmania’s new and first peak body for family and sexual violence we’re excited to be creating our online 2026 Speaker Series including 6 webinars of 1 hour duration. The series will bring together a range of voices to explore intersectional feminist approaches to preventing and responding to family and sexual violence, and to strengthen our collective advocacy.

Dr Celine van Golde is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney. Her research focuses on the reliability of eyewitness memory in children and adults, both for one-off and repeated events, such as Sexual, and Domestic and Family Violence. Specifically, how interviewing techniques in forensic settings, such as those used by police, lawyers and judges can affect memory accuracy and psychological wellbeing. She gives regular guest lectures within the NSW Police Force Detective Training Program, the DFV investigators workshops, and the Child Abuse Squad, as well as advising judges and lawyers on issues related to eyewitness memory.
