The Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation, established by the Clarke family, honours the memories of their loved ones by raising awareness and providing education on recognising coercive control behaviours. By partnering with the Foundation, we will gain access to an interactive workshop designed to help service providers identify the red flags and early warning signs of coercive control, driving positive behavioural and cultural change through relatable and real-life experiences.

Delivery Format

Participants will be taken on Hannah’s journey; a legacy that is difficult to comprehend but a path that the Clarke family want participants to walk.

The program will explain coercive control and the red flags that are hidden in plain sight. It is an opportunity to unite the community, connect our workforce and through awareness, build advocacy and ultimately create change.

This two-hour social impact workshop is based around the events and people in Hannah’s life – what they saw, heard and their suspicions. The days, weeks and months leading up to the tragic murder of Hannah and her three children. Participants will learn about the everyday behaviours that we are all familiar with and how these moments can often be the first signs of an unhealthy relationship.

Please note: The session is powerful and can be confronting. It steps through the life of Hannah Clarke and her three children, who were all subject to significant family violence for a prolonged period of time and were ultimately murdered by their husband/father. The final attack relates to the use of accelerant and fire, which may be triggering for some attendees. While we provide appropriate wellbeing guidance on the day we always encourage you to reach out to your workplaces for additional support if needed.
