The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign raises awareness of violence against women and girls and encourages action toward lasting change. To mark the start of the 2026 campaign, the façade of Parliament House will be illuminated in orange on Wednesday 25 November.
Orange is the international campaign colour, symbolising hope, optimism and a future free from violence against women and girls. The 2026 campaign runs from 25 November to 10 December 2026.
You can find more information about the campaign on the UN Women website.
